Stephen M. Vaughn - President and Chief Executive Officer

A native of Texas and a graduate of Colgate University, in Hamilton, New York, Steve earned a degree in Political Science in 1989.

After graduation, he went to work for Texas Highway Transport, a drayage company owned by Texas Shippers Association in Dallas, TX. With the sale of Texas Shippers to a Chicago based firm, Mr. Vaughn started CustomForm Transportation Systems, Inc in 1990 with his father, James D. Vaughn. The company has since grown from a small one truck local delivery operation into a regional provider of warehousing, multi-mode transportation and delivery services and currently offers international shipping options as well.

During the period from 1990 to present, Mr. Vaughn has gained experience in almost all aspects of freight transportation from inter-modal drayage to pick-up and delivery to truckload movements to warehousing and distribution. In addition, Mr. Vaughn has developed knowledge in computer programming and networking and understands the significance of data management. Mr. Vaughn has designed and implemented the data storage and software programming that the company utilizes to run its transportation and warehousing services, including a robust RF infrastructure for the warehouse operations.

Steve is proficient in logistics services as well as corporate management. He is currently the President of CustomForm Transportation and has been instrumental in developing the company’s new brand, WhiteStar Logistics. This, along with his knowledge in data processing and networking has helped to position WhiteStar Logistics into a company that is capable of providing freight distribution solutions on any scale.

G. Wayne Suttle - Executive Vice President and General Manager

Wayne Suttle graduated from the University of North Texas in 1968 and began his career with the Missouri Pacific Railroad working for the truckline/intermodal division in Dallas, TX. He held positions in operations and the sales/marketing department and was the Sales Manager for the Northern Region located in Chicago, Illinois. He was responsible for selling different types of intermodal packages to Manufacturers, Distribution Centers, 3PL companies, Motor Carriers, Ocean Carriers and to UPS.

In 1977, Wayne oversaw the creation of Texas Highway Transport, an Intermodal Carrier handling rail containers and ocean containers throughout the Southwest. This company operated approximately 75 tractors out of terminals in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas. Wayne was the Vice President for Texas Highway Transport and was responsible for the entire operation. He was responsible for negotiating contracts with Railroads and Ocean Carriers to handle in excess of 35,000 trailers/containers annually.

In 1984, Wayne helped open Expert Freight, Inc. a 3PL operation for the Southwest Region, located in Dallas, TX. He was the General Manager and responsible for sales and service of different types of logistics packages which involved trucking, intermodal, warehousing, air freight and international freight. Also responsible for tariff work, operations, billing procedures and contract negotiations with Motor Carriers and Railroads with a volume of over 13,000 trailers/containers annually.

Wayne joined CustomForm Transportation in 1991 and is currently the Executive Vice President of Operations for the company. Wayne provides the company with an invaluable depth of transportation knowledge and experience which enables the company to offer a wide array of services.

Robin Weber - Vice President Real Estate and National Accounts

Robin Weber attended the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship, graduating in 1976  with a degree in business management. He entered the real estate profession in 1983 by joining the Rockefeller owned national real estate firm of Cushman & Wakefield Inc., where he was regularly one of the top supply chain industrial real estate performers in the company. In 1989, Mr. Weber started his own firm, Weber Commercial, whose primary focus is working with corporations to fulfill their supply chain  requirements.

His background includes industrial sales and leasing, as well as land sales and build-to-suits. To date he has leased or sold millions of square feet of industrial real estate valued at more than 500 million dollars and he is a licensed broker in several states including Illinois, Texas and Washington.

To that end, in 2004 he teamed  up with third party logistics provider WhiteStar Logistics to better serve and increase his client base in both transportation and real estate while providing WhiteStar the ability to more efficiently serve their clients by expanding and/or contracting  warehousing footprints as client needs dictate.

Todd Weber - Vice President of Corporate Development

A native of Dallas, Texas, Todd Weber has an extensive background in the commercial – industrial supply chain real estate industry. Mr. Weber, a licensed real estate agent, worked for Ten years in commercial real estate, specializing in industrial leasing and sales. Transactions include representing some of the nations largest corporations in the acquisition and disposition of millions of square feet of real estate across the United States. 

Mr. Weber has partnered with WhiteStar Logistics (a subsidiary of Custom Form Transportation) as Vice President of Business Development and Real Estate. His role is to develop new transportation business and consult with corporate clients in delivering cost effective solutions to their supply chain operations.
